Bespoken Spirits Grand Opening Celebration

Bespoken Spirits is celebrating the grand opening of their new headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky on March 27, 2024. The event takes place from 6pm-8pm at their new distillery in Greyline Station. The celebration will be in conjunction with Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Hell House Whiskey, which is produced in collaboration with Bespoken Spirits. The event will feature tastings of Hell House and other Bespoken Spirits, cocktails and a special guest appearance by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Johnny Van Zant and Rickey Medlocke from the band will also be doing a bottle signing at the Total Wine on Sir Barton Way on March 28 from 12pm-2pm, and the band will be performing at Rupp Arena at 8pm later that day.

Elijah Craig Bourbon Celebrates the PGA Championship Returning to Louisville, KY, with a Commemorative Bottle Release and On-Course Activations as the “Official Bourbon” of the 2024 Major Championship

Elijah Craig is currently the Official Bourbon and Whiskey Supplier of the PGA of America, PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and an official partner of the PGA National Club Championship. The brand is also “The Official Bourbon” of PGA TOUR Professional Golfer Max Homa, sports broadcaster Amanda Balionis, and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Tournament.

So, it only makes sense that Elijah Craig will pull out all the stops when it welcomes the 2024 PGA Championship back to Louisville, KY and the Valhalla Golf Club after a decade away from the Bluegrass State. To celebrate the major Championship’s return, Elijah Craig, will activate the “Elijah Craig Bourbon Speakeasy” on the course for spectators to enjoy, as well as release a special Commemorative Edition of its Elijah Craig Small Batch. Throughout the course, spectators can also find Elijah Craig featured in a signature cocktail at concessions.

The special-edition Commemorative Bottling of Elijah Craig Small Batch is now shipping to select retailers across the country. The bottle will be adorned with a neck label featuring the PGA Championship’s Wanamaker Trophy, a gold coin emblazoned cork showing the 2024 PGA Championship logo and a face label prominently showcasing the “Official Bourbon” designation along with the PGA Championship logo. The barrels for this special release are uniquely pulled from Heaven Hill rickhouses P, 1G and A. The bottle will have an MRSP of $36.99

Buffalo Trace Distillery Announces Recipients of Its “100 Bourbon Sets for 100 Charities” Initiative

Buffalo Trace will donate sets of the Distillery’s sought after whiskeys to each of the 100 chosen nonprofit organizations to use for charitable fundraising initiatives. In September, charities from across the nation were invited to apply for consideration. Each organization was selected for their demonstrated commitment to improving their communities. Which bottles each group will receive will vary. However, given the demand for Buffalo Traces whiskeys, whichever bottles they receive, the charities will likely raise a significant amount of funds.

Barmen 1873 Bourbon is rolling out its first-ever celebrity partnership with none other than GRAMMY award winning country star Lainey Wilson. To kick off the multi-year partnership, Barmen 1873 Bourbon and Lainey Wilson are collaborating to bring ‘Bell Bottom Country’ to life with their Lainey Wilson themed pop-up bar, Hold My Bourbon Bar. Bourbon and Lainey Wilson fans alike can expect a bar like no other. Completely decked out in Lainey’s western flair and playing her music, the Hold My Bourbon Bar will serve cocktails made with Barmen 1873 Bourbon and inspired by Lainey. In addition to the good vibes, 100% of proceeds from the pop-up experience will go to Lainey Wilson’s charitable fund, Heart Like A Truck.

If you are a fan and are in the Nashville area, the event is a great deal, and for a charitable cause, as well.

Here are the details: The Hold My Bourbon Bar pop-up will be open April 5-6, 2024 from 6:30-11:00 PM CT and Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 4:30-9:00 PM CT at GoodTimes Full Service Bar (1529 4th Ave S., Nashville, TN 37210). Tickets are required to enter Hold My Bourbon Bar and are available at for $10. With the purchase of a ticket, consumers are granted access to the bar and receive two free drinks and light bar bites.

New Whiskey Releases
  • Penelope Rio – The latest release of Penelope Rio, Penelope Bourbon’s highly sought after bourbon finished in both honey and amburana casks, is here! It is bottled at 98 proof, and made from a four-grain mash bill consisting of 74% corn, 16% wheat, 7% rye and 3% malted barley. This release will consist of 30,000 bottles, and will have an MSRP of $89.99. I have been unsuccessful at finding any bottles of the prior releases, so I am hoping to have better luck this time around. And, if you are looking for it, I wish the same for you, too!
  • Peerless Toasted Bourbon – This past weekend was the release of Kentucky Peerless Distilling’s latest addition to their line, Toasted Bourbon. The bourbon is first aged in char 3 barrels for 5 years, and then finished in medium toast barrels for an undisclosed amount of time. It is bottled at 110 proof with an MSRP of $125.
  • Yellowstone Special Finishes Collection Rum Cask – This new expression features 4-year-old Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished for 9 weeks in Rum casks sourced from Havana, Cuba. Bottled at 100 proof with an MSRP of $49.99.
  • Pursuit United Double Oaked Bourbon – The double oak finishing process starts with Pursuit United’s signature bourbon blend, which undergoes a lengthy secondary finish using custom 36-month seasoned French oak medium toasted staves. Bottled at 108 proof with an MSRP of $69.99.
  • And for all the RTD fans: Jack Daniel’s releases Jack & Ginger Ale – “Crafted with real Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and premium Ginger Ale, this new Canned Cocktail offers the iconic taste of Jack Daniel’s with a refreshing twist of ginger.” Canned at 7% ABV, and available in 4 packs for an MSRP of $12.99, or in single cans for an MSRP of $3.49.
