Heaven Hill Distillery has been family owned and operated since 1935, and Heaven Hill Brands is America’s largest independent family-owned & operated distilled spirits company. Unlike many of the other large distilleries, visitors are not able to tour Heaven Hill’s distillery.  The main distillery, the Bernheim Distillery, is located in downtown Louisville and is home to their two 70-foot column stills. However, there is the Heaven Hill Distillery Bourbon Heritage Center, which serves as their visitor center. It is located on the same campus as their bottling facility in Bardstown, KY.

About the Bourbon Heritage Center

I have visited the Bourbon Heritage Center many times. It’s a great place to sample some of Heaven Hill’s whiskeys, learn about the history of the distillery and family, or pick up some logo items or whiskey. An expansion is under way which will add more educational exhibits, a “bottle your own bourbon” station and a restaurant and bar. This is a short video to get you acquainted, and if you’d like to learn more about it as well as about the current renovations and expansions taking place, you can check out our full write up about the Heaven Hill Distillery Bourbon Heritage Center at BourbonObsessed.com.
