New Bourbon Releases News For June 27, 2026
New Bourbon Releases
Four Roses Experimental Series No. 001
Four Roses has announced the launch of its new Experimental Series, a limited-edition collection that “pushes the boundaries of the brand’s traditional 10-recipe framework.” The inaugural release, Experimental Series No. 001, is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in rare Japanese Mizunara oak barrels. It was developed through extensive trials across recipes, yeast strains, barrel specifications, and toast and char combinations to identify the ideal pairing for Mizunara oak’s distinctive flavor profile. Ultimately, Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott selected a six-year-old OBSK recipe for its ability to “complement the oak’s layered spice characteristics while allowing its sweeter and more nuanced notes to shine through.” Experimental Series No. 001 will be available at the Four Roses Distillery Visitor Center and Warehouse and & Bottling Facility Visitor Center beginning July 30 for $55 per 375 mL bottle. Read the full press release.
Bulleit 20-Year-Old Rye
Bulleit has announced Bulleit 20-Year-Old Rye, their oldest ever Straight Rye Whiskey. Made from Bulleit’s signature 95% rye mashbill, distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and aged for two decades in Kentucky, the release was developed by the Bulleit Distilling Co. team with a blend crafted by Nicole Austin. Limited to just 1,776 individually numbered bottles, the cask-strength rye is bottled at 68.5% ABV (137 proof) and will be available beginning July 2026 at the Bulleit Distillery (1 bottle sold per day) and in select cities nationwide. The suggested retail price is $299 for a 750mL bottle. Read the full press release.
Lost Lantern United States of Bourbon
Lost Lantern has introduced United States of Bourbon, the first-ever blend of straight bourbon from all 50 states. More than five years in the making, the project brings together one distillery from every state into a single blend, with every component distillery listed on the bottle label. The inaugural release includes three expressions:
- United States of Bourbon 100 Proof – Blended in Vermont and slow-proofed to 100 proof. The blend contains bourbon aged 2 to 10 years with an age statement of 2 years. Non-chill filtered. $79.99. Limited to 6,780 bottles.
- United States of Bourbon Cask Strength – The same 50-state blend bottled at its natural proof of 122.9 proof. The blend contains bourbon aged 2 to 10 years with an age statement of 2 years. Non-chill filtered. $99.99. Limited to 3,300 bottles.
- United States of Bourbon 1776 Edition – A one-time 13-state blend created to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, featuring bourbon from the original 13 states. Bottled at cask strength at 121.4 proof. The blend contains bourbon aged 4 to 8 years with an age statement of 4 years. Non-chill filtered. $199.99. Limited to 1,776 hand-numbered bottles.
United States of Bourbon is available through LostLanternWhiskey.com, Seelbach’s, select retailers, and the Lost Lantern Tasting Room in Vergennes, Vermont. Want to learn more? Read my reviews!
Editor’s Note: While many brands have simply released special America 250 labels on existing whiskeys, hats off to Lost Lantern for creating this blend! Of all the America’s 250-themed whiskeys released this year, this one is truly a unique statement on American bourbon. I can’t imagine how much work it must have taken to put these blends together.
Milam & Greene Liberty American Whiskey
Milam & Greene is releasing Liberty American Whiskey, their first-ever American Whiskey, created to honor the country’s 250th. The whiskey blends three barrels of pot-distilled whiskey from their still in Blanco, Texas, with three barrels of column-distilled whiskey from Bardstown, Kentucky. A total of 250 bottles were released online on June 24, with another 500 available at the distillery in Blanco, reservable online for pickup before the Fourth of July. milamandgreenewhiskey.com
Starlight Distillery 10-Year Reserve Bourbon
Starlight Distillery has released 10-Year Reserve Bourbon, a limited release produced entirely grain-to-grass using grains grown and harvested on the Huber family estate. The ten-barrel blend features both the distillery’s signature 3-grain and 4-grain mash bills built on heirloom corn and Indiana rye. Sweet mash fermented and double pot distilled, the bourbon was initially matured in the distillery’s original warehouse before being transferred to Warehouse #2, West Side, the warmest pocket of the rickhouses. Bottled at cask strength at 114.2 proof, approximately 2,000 bottles are available at the distillery, in select markets, and online for $250. starlightdistillery.com
