New Bourbon Releases News For February 27, 2026
Heaven Hill Deatsville 13-Year-Old Bourbon Announced
Heaven Hill Distillery announces the release of Heaven Hill Deatsville 13-Year-Old Bourbon, a limited-edition expression drawn from one of the most distinctive aging sites in the distillery’s 90-year history. Bottled from just 17 barrels aged on the third floor of Rickhouse AA, this release represents one of the final few opportunities to experience Bourbon matured entirely at the Deatsville campus before the site transitions out of active aging.
Crafted from a mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley, the 13-year-old release carries an MSRP of $199.99. In a rare opportunity, guests will be able to access the private Deatsville rickhouse campus through a Deatsville Tour & Tasting experience, with early access to the Deatsville 13-Year-Old Bourbon exclusively available through this tour. Tickets for this tour will be available beginning on March 15 through the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience website. This marks the first chapter in a multi-year tribute to the Deatsville site, with additional releases and commemorative moments planned through 2027. Read the full press release here.
Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon Returning in March 2026
This March, the first release since last year of Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon will be shipped from the distillery. The 2026 release has been approved by Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. Bottled at 94.4 proof (47.2% ABV), the 2026 release will have a suggested retail price of $195 for a 750 mL bottle. Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon continues as one of the two first expressions that Michter’s released after opening in Kentucky and remains a limited production offering. Interestingly, although it always bears a 10 year age statement, often older barrels are used to achieve the desired flavor profile. Read the full press release here.
Hard Truth Distilling Co. Releases Trio of 7-Year Whiskeys
Hard Truth Distilling Co. announces the release of three limited seven-year expressions from its core whiskey portfolio: Sweet Mash Rye, Bourbon and Wheated Bourbon. These are the first seven-year whiskeys from Hard Truth, marking a significant maturation milestone for the distillery. The release will debut exclusively at Hard Truth Distilling Co. in Nashville, Indiana beginning Saturday, Feb. 28, with a limited allocation rolling out to select retailers in the weeks following. Hard Truth is also hosting special events at its distillery on Saturday, Feb. 28, to celebrate this milestone release. Read the full press release here.

Yellowstone Recollection Bourbon
Yellowstone Bourbon announced the release of Yellowstone Recollection Bourbon, inspired by the brand’s historic back bar decanters seen across saloons and restaurants in the late 1800s. Originally introduced as a Limestone Branch Distillery exclusive, Yellowstone Recollection Bourbon is now available more broadly for the first time. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 110 proof, Yellowstone Recollection Bourbon is crafted by seventh-generation Master Distiller Stephen Beam and aged eight years. Drawing from the brand’s earliest visual identity, the bourbon is presented in an ornate decanter that pays homage to Yellowstone’s once hand-painted bottles. Featuring the iconic Yellowstone Lower Falls and classic embossing, the design reflects the brand’s roots. “When I brought Yellowstone to Limestone Branch in 2015, it wasn’t just about reviving a name, it was about honoring the people who gave this bourbon its meaning,” said Stephen Beam. Yellowstone Recollection Bourbon will be available at select retailers nationwide starting this month at a suggested retail price of $69.99 for a 700 mL bottle. yellowstonebourbon.com
Rebel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Single Barrel 2026 Selected By Kyle Busch
Rebel Bourbon, the official bourbon of Richard Childress Racing, announced the release of Rebel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Single Barrel Selected By Kyle Busch. With guidance from Rebel Bourbon Master Distiller John Rempe, the two-time NASCAR® Cup Series champion hand-picked every barrel for this limited-edition release, which is bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV) in honor of Rebel’s RCR sponsorship. Handcrafted according to Rebel’s original wheated recipe since 1849, Rebel Kyle Busch 108 Single Barrel is aged for a full four years. “Kyle and the RCR team stand out as real rebels, doing things their own way with a defiant attitude to drive to win, and that lifestyle is what Rebel Bourbon is all about,” said Philip Lux, Rebel Bourbon brand manager. “Every bottle of our new Rebel Single Barrel is a one-of-a-kind, made in tribute to that rebel spirit in Kyle and all of us.” The special edition ships this month and will be available nationwide at a minimum suggested retail price of $39.99 per 750 mL bottle. RebelBourbon.com
Editor’s Note: I found this a little confusing, but I believe the 108 proof was chosen in reference to Kyle Busch’s No. 8 Chevrolet. This is the third year of collaboration between Rebel Bourbon and Richard Childress Racing / Kyle Busch.
Southern Star Paragon Bourbon Finished in Zinfandel Casks
Southern Distilling Company announced the release of its limited-edition Southern Star Paragon Bourbon Finished in Zinfandel Casks. The expression became available on Saturday, February 21, exclusively at Southern Distilling Company’s Statesville Tasting Room for $49.95 for a 375 mL bottle. To complement the release, the distillery offered a limited gift bundle priced at $79.95, featuring the new expression paired with wine-inspired artisan chocolate truffles and a bar of handmade whiskey chocolate. Southern Star Bourbon Finished in Zinfandel Casks is the latest addition to the Paragon Collection, bottled at 116.1 proof after spending more than a year finishing in used Zinfandel wine casks. “It started with a conversation and a bit of curiosity between friends,” says Pete Barger, co-founder and CEO of Southern Distilling Company. “We worked with a boutique California winery to source casks and what we received was well beyond what we imagined. The wines that lived in these barrels were almost port-like with a deep complexity.” According to Barger, the release was about innovation and pushing boundaries, “bringing bourbon together with a wine profile that refuses to be subtle.” SouthernDistillingCompany.com
Editor’s Note: Paragon Bourbon is Southern Distilling’s Wheated Bourbon line, so I am assuming this release is also a wheated bourbon.
Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey 20th Anniversary Limited Edition
Heaven Hill Distillery announced the release of Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, a special bottling commemorating two decades since Bernheim pioneered a new style of American Whiskey. Launched in 2005, Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey was the first truly new American Whiskey style introduced since Prohibition*, using soft winter wheat as its primary grain. “This release is both a celebration and a thank you,” said Max L. Shapira, Executive Chairman of Heaven Hill Brands. “When we launched Bernheim Wheat Whiskey 20 years ago, we took a chance on a new mashbill and a new idea.” Crafted from Bernheim’s signature soft winter wheat recipe, the 20th Anniversary Limited Edition features a special selection of barrels aged 10 years and is bottled at 115 proof (57.5% ABV). Produced at the historic Bernheim Distillery and aged in rickhouses in Bardstown, Kentucky, the release features a distinctive copper plate on the front as a visual marker of its limited-edition status. Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey 20th Anniversary Limited Edition is available in limited quantities nationwide for a suggested retail price of $84.99. www.heavenhilldistillery.com
*Editor’s Note: While Heaven Hill states this was the “first truly new style introduced since Prohibition,” the legal Standard of Identity for Wheat Whiskey has actually been part of the federal code since 1936 (Federal Register Vol. 1, No. 14). Heaven Hill was, however, the first major distillery to produce it commercially in the modern era.
Log Still Faithfully Crafted: Bishop’s Blend, Second Edition
Log Still Distillery and the Archdiocese of Louisville announced the release of Faithfully Crafted: Bishop’s Blend, Second Edition. As the second release in the Faithfully Crafted series, Bishop’s Blend is a blend of Tennessee whiskey and Kentucky wheated bourbon, drawn from three traditional Kentucky and Tennessee mash bills. After resting in Log Still’s Blessed Rickhouse, the whiskey was bottled at 90 proof. “Bishop’s Blend continues a partnership that means a great deal to my family and our distillery,” said Wally Dant, Founder and President of Log Still Distillery. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle will support community initiatives aligned with the mission of the Archdiocese of Louisville. Faithfully Crafted: Bishop’s Blend, Second Edition is available at Log Still Distillery tasting rooms on the Gethsemane, KY campus and in the Monks Road Boiler House in Downtown Louisville for a suggested retail price of $54.99. New Riff Entrepreneurial Spark Bourbon 2026
New Riff announced the return of the Entrepreneurial Spark for a second year, a limited-edition collaboration with Blue North and Northern Kentucky’s startup community. The 2026 Entrepreneurial Spark is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged 6 years and bottled at 117.2 proof (58.6% ALC/VOL, barrel proof). Half of sales from every bottle sold goes directly to the NKY Entrepreneur Fund, which has delivered $560,000 in grants to 43 local companies since 2023. “The response to last year’s release showed just how powerful this community can be when it comes together. We’re excited to partner with Blue North again to support the innovators shaping Northern Kentucky’s future,” said Mollie Lewis, President of New Riff Distilling. Last year’s release sold out in 24 hours and raised over $11,000 for the fund. Bottles go on sale today, Friday, February 27 at 11:00 AM, exclusively in the New Riff Gift Shop and online for pickup only for $59.99. newriffdistilling.com. Source: Blue North LinkedIn

With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, here is some Irish Whiskey news:
Two Stacks The First Cut Signature Blend Irish Whiskey Expands Distribution
Two Stacks Irish Whiskey is expanding U.S. distribution of its flagship Two Stacks The First Cut Signature Blend Irish Whiskey through a new partnership with Foley Family Wines & Spirits. As one of only three recognized whiskey bonders in Ireland, Two Stacks creates this expression by marrying five whiskeys from various distilleries, including two single grains, a pot still whiskey, a double-distilled malt, and a peated malt. The blend is bottled and canned at 86 proof. The whiskey is available in 700 mL bottles for $38-$49 and in 100 mL “Dram in a Can” servings for $5-$7. twostackswhiskey.com
Editor’s Note: I realized after I included this summary that this announcement was actually from last year. Nonetheless, I think their 100 mL “Dram in a Can” is cool, and I also enjoyed this whiskey when I reviewed it, so I’m leaving it in, although I had to update the price. Read my Two Stacks Signature Blend Irish Whiskey review here.
