Green River Distilling Co. Introduces Honey Finished Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Green River Distilling Co. has announced the launch of Green River Honey Finished Bourbon Whiskey, a new expression made by finishing four-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon with 100% real local honey inside the barrel rather than using artificial sweeteners or additives. Bottled at 92 proof and offered at a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a 750mL bottle, Green River Honey became available nationwide beginning May 15, 2026. A 200mL format will also be available.
Green River also announced its new “DeliverBEE” campaign, allowing fans to nominate a friend, coworker, or “fri-enemy” to receive a surprise delivery of Green River Honey. Nominations are now open at greenriverwhiskey.com/honey-whiskey/. Learn more at GreenRiverWhiskey.com.

The collection includes Hole 1, Hole 2, and Hole 3, with each release building on the last through distinct stave finishing techniques implemented at different intensities and over different lengths of time.
Bottled at 94 proof, the first three bottles in the Architects of Golf collection carry a suggested retail price of $59.99 per bottle and are expected to become available at select retailers nationwide in limited quantities later this month.

The brand will also donate an additional dollar for every like and comment on Instagram launch content, up to $2,130, in recognition of Gehrig’s consecutive games played streak. Remus Lou Gehrig Reserve is now rolling out nationwide in select markets with a suggested retail price of $129.99 per 750mL bottle. Learn more at remusbourbon.com.
Shortbarrel Sapsquatch Bourbon Returns for Father’s Day
Shortbarrel has announced the return of Sapsquatch Bourbon, a limited-edition blend of Kentucky and Indiana whiskeys finished in Atlanta with sugar maple. Bottled at 110 proof, the latest batch features bourbon sourced from Jim Beam, Barton, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Green River, and MGP, with barrels ranging from six to eight years old. According to Co-Founder and Master Blender Clinton Dugan, Shortbarrel “chose barrels with a higher rye content to give us that spicy flavor that goes so well with the sweetness of the maple, making it reminiscent of the great southern cooking you can find here in our hometown of Atlanta.”
This year’s release expands beyond the original 2025 single barrel format, utilizing a blend of 20 to 30 barrels. Shortbarrel says the whiskey undergoes a two-stage finishing process using sugar maple infusion spirals for six to eight weeks, followed by secondary maturation in Kelvin-toasted barrels that previously held maple syrup.
Shortbarrel Sapsquatch Bourbon is now available online and at select retailers with a suggested retail price of $89.99. Learn more at shortbarrelbourbon.com.

Maker’s Mark has announced the upcoming release of its America’s 250th Anniversary Limited-Edition Bottle, featuring the brand’s signature red wax accented with a white wax dip and a blue version of the Maker’s Mark seal. The release supports the Farmer Veteran Coalition, a nonprofit organization that helps veterans transition into careers in agriculture through training, resources, and community support.
The commemorative release is classic Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky bottled at 90 proof with a suggested retail price of $28.99. The bottle is expected to become available at select retailers nationwide beginning June 1, 2026. Learn more at makersmark.com.
Evan Williams America250 Commemorative Releases
Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, described by the company as the world’s #1 American-owned bourbon, has announced a series of officially licensed America250 commemorative releases celebrating the United States’ 250th anniversary. The lineup includes Evan Williams Black Label (86 proof) in 1.75L for $24.99, Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch (90 proof) in 1.75L for $37.99 and 750mL for $23.99, and Evan Williams Single Barrel bottled at 117.76 proof with a limited selection of 250 barrels for $39.99.
The commemorative packaging highlights Evan Williams’ connection to American history, noting that Evan Williams became Kentucky’s first licensed distiller in 1783, the same year the United States formally gained independence*. The releases also support veterans through a new partnership with Folds of Honor, with Evan Williams donating $75,000 to provide educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders. The America250 releases began arriving on shelves nationwide beginning May 2026. Learn more at www.EvanWilliams.com.
*Editor’s note 1: While the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776, signaling the birth of the nation, the 1783 Treaty of Paris officially ended the Revolutionary War and forced Great Britain to formally recognize the United States as a free, sovereign, and independent nation.
Editor’s note 2: Also, I like how Heaven Hill takes a jab at Beam by saying that Evan Williams is the world’s #1 American-owned bourbon. Jim Beam is the world’s best selling bourbon, but the company is owned by Suntory, a Japanese company.
Heaven Hill Announces 2026 “Year of Wheat” Grain to Glass Releases
Heaven Hill Distillery has announced its 2026 Grain to Glass “Year of Wheat” lineup, a focused collection of three limited-release Wheated Bourbons, including an all-new extra-aged release. The collection continues the Grain to Glass series’ focus on corn seed varietals selected in collaboration with Beck’s Hybrids and grown locally by Peterson Farms in Nelson County, Kentucky, while placing a deeper emphasis on wheat as a defining force behind some of Heaven Hill’s most nuanced and expressive bourbons.
- Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon (3rd Edition) — Distilled in 2019 using Beck’s 6269 corn seed varietal and aged six years in #3 char barrels. Bottled non-chill filtered at barrel proof, 107.8 proof. Mashbill: 52% corn, 35% wheat, 13% malt. SRP: $99.99 per 700mL bottle. Expected to arrive in markets in June 2026. (170 barrels)
- Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Specialty Barrel Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon – Aged in French Oak Barrels — Distilled in 2019 using Beck’s 6269 corn seed varietal and fully matured in #3 char French Oak barrels for a minimum of six years. Bottled at barrel proof strength of 109.2 proof. Mashbill: 52% corn, 35% wheat, 13% malt. SRP: $129.99 per 700mL bottle. Expected to arrive in markets in October 2026. (170 barrels)
- Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Extra Aged 9-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon — A one-time offering distilled in 2017 using Beck’s 6158 corn seed varietal and aged nine years in #3 char barrels. Bottled non-chill filtered at barrel proof, with final proof still to be announced. Mashbill: 52% corn, 35% wheat, 13% malt. SRP: $149.99 per 700mL bottle. Expected to arrive in markets in December 2026. (150 barrels)
As part of its Family Farms First initiative, Heaven Hill Grain to Glass continues its partnership with Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping farmers and ranchers overcome major hardships, injuries, and natural disasters. Through the initiative, Heaven Hill Grain to Glass has committed up to $300,000 through 2028, with a portion of every sale — up to $100,000 annually — supporting the organization’s efforts to keep family farms operating during times of crisis. Learn more at heavenhilldistillery.com.
Rittenhouse United States 250th Anniversary Commemorative Edition
Heaven Hill Distillery has announced the release of the Rittenhouse United States 250th Anniversary Commemorative Edition, a 10-year-old Bottled-in-Bond Rye Whisky crafted to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence. Launching in May 2026, the limited-edition release features commemorative Liberty Bell packaging honoring Rittenhouse’s Pennsylvania heritage and will be allocated across select U.S. markets and at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience.
According to Heaven Hill Distillery “Rooted in Pennsylvania’s historic rye whiskey tradition, a cornerstone of early American distilling, Rittenhouse Rye pays tribute to a time when rye was the spirit of choice across the region. Named after Philadelphia’s famed Rittenhouse Square, the brand has long been synonymous with the bold, spicy character of classic Monongahela rye.”
The Rittenhouse 250th Anniversary Edition is aged 10 years, bottled at 100 proof, non-chill filtered, and composed of a mashbill of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley. The whiskey was drawn from 90 selected barrels aged across multiple rickhouses and floors. The suggested retail price is $99.99. Learn more at www.heavenhilldistillery.com.
Editor’s note: Although the press release states that Rittenhouse “… has long been synonymous with the bold, spicy character of classic Monongahela rye”, many rye enthusiasts would note that its low rye, high corn mash bill of today is more typical of a Maryland or Kentucky-style rye than a high-rye Monongahela or Pennsylvania rye.
Woodford Reserve Unveils Heirloom Red Corn Distillery Series
Woodford Reserve has announced the latest release in its experimental Distillery Series: Red Corn, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made using an heirloom red corn varietal grown on a local farm adjacent to the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky. According to the company, the deep-pigmented corn delivers a more robust, savory, and spicy profile than traditional yellow corn.
Woodford Reserve noted that severe storms during the growing season damaged a significant portion of the crop, resulting in a lower yield and a more limited release. The bourbon is bottled at 90.4 proof in 375mL bottles with a suggested retail price of $64.99. It is available in limited quantities exclusively at the Woodford Reserve Distillery gift shop and select Kentucky retailers. Learn more at www.woodfordreserve.com.
Wild Turkey Unveils Austin Nichols Archives, Gold Foil Edition
Wild Turkey has introduced Austin Nichols Archives Collection, a new limited-edition annual series commemorating some of the most coveted vintage bottles in Wild Turkey’s storied history. The inaugural release in the series, Gold Foil Edition, is a 16-year-old, 120-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon crafted to capture the spirit of one of Wild Turkey’s most iconic vintages from the 1980s and 1990s, affectionately known by fans as “Cheesy Gold Foil.”
Created by Associate Master Blender Bruce Russell, the non-chill filtered bourbon was crafted from barrels sourced from Wild Turkey’s Camp Nelson F, D, and E rickhouses. According to Wild Turkey, Gold Foil Edition was designed to recreate the richness, character, and “mature oak funk” associated with bourbons from the so-called “Glut Era,” when older barrels were often blended into standard bottlings.
Wild Turkey Austin Nichols Archives Gold Foil Edition is expected to become available in limited quantities in select markets beginning May 2026 with a suggested retail price of $400. Learn more at wildturkey.com.
Chattanooga Whiskey Bottled in Bond: Spring 2022 Vintage
Chattanooga Whiskey has announced the release of Bottled in Bond: Spring 2022 Vintage, the latest entry in the distillery’s seasonal Bottled in Bond Vintage Series. The release is made from only two mash bills — 80% SB091 and 20% SB112 — with the latter being a five-grain mash bill featuring three types of dark caramel malt (cara aroma malt, caramel bohemian malt, and extra special caramel malt) intended to add layers of dark caramel richness while preserving Chattanooga Whiskey’s signature Tennessee High Malt style.
According to Chattanooga Whiskey, the larger-scale use of the five-grain SB112 mash bill is a defining component of the release. The Spring 2022 Vintage is aged greater than four years, bottled at 100 proof, and matured in toasted and charred 53-gallon oak barrels. The bourbon was produced in 10-12 barrel batches with a suggested retail price of $52.99 per 750mL bottle. Learn more at chattanoogawhiskey.com.
Milam & Greene 2026 Wildlife Collection: Live Oak Straight Bourbon
Milam & Greene has announced the second 2026 release in its Wildlife Collection: Live Oak Straight Bourbon. Named for the live oaks surrounding the distillery’s tasting room in Blanco, Texas, the bourbon was distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky in May 2019 before finishing its aging in Texas through extreme seasonal temperature swings that pull “deeper texture and oak integration out of a barrel.”
Originally selected for Milam & Greene’s Single Barrel Private Select Program, these four barrels held together so consistently that they kept them for the Wildlife Collection instead. The release consists of 608 bottles bottled at 123.4 proof (61.7% ABV) after aging for 6 years and 11 months. The mashbill is 68% corn, 20% malted rye, and 12% malted barley. Suggested retail price is $149.99. A portion of proceeds supports the Blanco County Conservation Initiative.
Live Oak Straight Bourbon became available at the distillery in Blanco in May 2026 and is scheduled for online release on May 27, 2026. Learn more at milamandgreenewhiskey.com.
Four Branches Liberty Reserve Bourbon
Four Branches Bourbon has announced the release of Liberty Reserve, a limited-edition commemorative bourbon honoring the upcoming 250th anniversary of America. Only 1,776 individually numbered bottles will be produced, referencing the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Liberty Reserve is a double oak finished bourbon combining a 10-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon with Four Branches’ inaugural four-grain distillate before finishing in toasted American white oak barrels. The release is bottled at 100 proof with a suggested retail price of $119.99.
Founded by veterans representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, Four Branches Bourbon says the release is intended to honor “courage, sacrifice, unity and service” while continuing the company’s support of veteran and first responder organizations focused on mental health, transition, and community support. Liberty Reserve became available for pre-sale beginning May 20, 2026. Learn more at fourbranches.com.

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain and Cured Oak Return
Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced the return of two highly coveted bourbons from the Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. collection: Four Grain and Cured Oak. Four Grain, first introduced in 2017, is now an annual limited release, while Cured Oak returns as a rare, limited offering. Both expressions are bottled at 100 proof, aged 10 years, and available beginning in May 2026 at a suggested retail price of $79.99 per 750mL bottle.
E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey is a small-batch bourbon crafted from corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. Distilled in 2015 and aged for 10 years, the release began as what Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley called a “graduated experiment” exploring the combination of rye and wheat together in the same bourbon mash bill.
E.H. Taylor, Jr. Cured Oak Bourbon Whiskey, originally released in 2015, is a Bottled-in-Bond bourbon aged in barrels constructed from white oak staves that were air-dried for 13 months, more than twice Buffalo Trace’s standard curing time.
