New Bourbon Releases For September 19, 2026
Pursuit Spirits Found Footage
Pursuit Spirits and Shortbarrel have collaborated to release Found Footage, a limited-edition blend of Shortbarrel’s Sapsquatch maple-finished bourbon and Pursuit United Double Oak Rye.
According to the brand: The story behind “Found Footage” sounds like local folklore. Whispers of a legendary beast guarding the ultimate maple-finished bourbon deep in the woods turned out to be entirely true. To draw the creature out, Pursuit Spirits laid down its signature Double Oak Rye as bait. The resulting capture produced a one-of-a-kind blend marrying Shortbarrel’s acclaimed Sapsquatch maple-finished bourbon with Pursuit’s fan-favorite United Double Oak Rye. The grainy, recovered camera tape inspired the release’s name and custom label design.
Bottled at barrel proof (112.4 proof), it carries an MSRP of $99.99 for a 700ml bottle. It debuted at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival on September 11, with later availability at Seelbach’s and Pursuit Spirits on Whiskey Row. pursuitspirits.com
Editor’s Note: I tried Found Footage at the KBF and thought it was great! We enjoyed Sapsquatch when we reviewed it a while back, and it blends beautifully with Pursuit’s Double Oak Rye.
Parker’s Heritage Collection 20th Edition
Heaven Hill announced the Parker’s Heritage Collection 20th Edition, a 14-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made with rye backset during fermentation. The release comprises 100 barrels distilled between October 2011 and January 2012 from Heaven Hill’s traditional mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, aged across four rickhouses and the 1st through 3rd floors. It is bottled at a barrel proof of 118.0 proof and is non-chill filtered. It carries a suggested retail price of $199.99 for a 750ml bottle. Limited national availability begins in September, with select quantities for international markets. As with previous releases, Heaven Hill will donate a portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold to the ALS Association in honor of Parker Beam, supporting ALS research and patient care. heavenhilldistillery.com
Samuel Call Bourbon
Samuel Call Bourbon debuted at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival with two barrels distilled, hand-selected and bottled by Jacob Call. Both barrels are aged 8+ years and survived the 2019 Rickhouse H collapse at Green River Distilling (OZ Tyler at the time) in Owensboro, KY. Barrel #1 has a 78/13/9 mash bill and is 123.5 proof. Barrel #2 has a 70/21/9 mash bill and is 136 proof. Online and select Kentucky availability is planned for October. samuelcallbourbon.com
Chicken Cock 170th Anniversary Releases
Chicken Cock Whiskey has introduced two limited releases for its 170th anniversary. The 170th Anniversary Limited Edition Rooster Decanter is the brand’s first ceramic rooster decanter and contains 8-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at 115 proof, with an SRP of $199.99. It comes from some of the earliest bourbon the brand laid down in Bardstown, more than eight years ago, according to Will Woodington, Chicken Cock Whiskey’s Manager of Brand Engagement. The 170th Anniversary Edition Legacy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is aged at least 6 years and bottled at 115 proof, with an SRP of $99.99. Its packaging restores founder James A. Miller’s name to the bottle for the first time in more than 100 years. Both debuted at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival and are available at retailers nationwide and through the brand’s online shop. chickencockwhiskey.com
Editor’s Note: Last year at the KBF, the brand released Miller’s Reserve American Whiskey, but I guess this release is the first to have James A. Miller’s full name on a bottle?
2026 Van Winkle Whiskey Collection
Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery and Buffalo Trace Distillery have announced the 2026 Van Winkle Whiskey Collection, comprising five bourbons and one rye whiskey. The family partnered with Buffalo Trace in 2002; each year, the Van Winkles and Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley select the barrels for the collection. Suggested retail prices are:
- Old Rip Van Winkle Handmade Bourbon 10-Year-Old – $169.99.
- Van Winkle Special Reserve Bourbon 12-Year-Old – $199.99.
- Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Bourbon 15-Year-Old – $299.99.
- Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Bourbon 20-Year-Old – $399.99.
- Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve Bourbon 23-Year-Old – $499.99.
- Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye 13-Year-Old – $299.99.
Proofs are unavailable in the supplied press release. The collection will be available in limited quantities to retailers, bars and restaurants across the United States through Sazerac’s distribution network. Actual retail prices vary, and local fees and taxes apply. No on-sale date was specified. oldripvanwinkle.com
Elmer T. Lee 40th Anniversary Edition
Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced Elmer T. Lee 40th Anniversary Edition, the first-ever uncut and unfiltered expression of Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Bourbon. Introduced in 1986, the namesake bourbon honors Lee, who introduced Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon, the “world’s first single barrel bourbon,” in 1984. Each barrel is bottled at its natural barrel proof, ranging from 124.8 to 138.6 proof, with a suggested retail price of $99.99 for a 750ml bottle, plus applicable taxes and fees. Limited quantities are being offered through the new Buffalo Trace Distillery Bottle Draw, but registration was only available online from September 15-17, so it has unfortunately closed. buffalotracedistillery.com
Editor’s Note: According to the distillery, no additional purchase options will be available for this bourbon, so I almost didn’t include it in my newsletter. However, it seemed like too important a release to omit, and I’m sure there will be alternative ways to obtain a bottle for those who are interested in doing so.
Ingram Flagship Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Batch 6
The Ingram Distillery has released the sixth batch of Flagship Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 7-year-old wheated bourbon bottled at 113.8 proof and priced at $79.99. Named for the leading vessel in a fleet, Flagship is released annually each fall, with each batch being unique. The mash bill for this year’s release is 70% corn, 21% wheat and 9% malted barley. The release blends 25 barrels aged aboard Ingram’s floating barrelhouses on the Mississippi River: 21 from the lower deck and four from the upper deck. It is available at retailers in Alaska, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, and at the distillery in Columbus, Kentucky. There is also direct-to-consumer availability in all states except Michigan, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah. ingramwhiskey.com
Glenmore Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Sazerac Company is reviving the Glenmore name with Glenmore Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Glenmore Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey. The Owensboro distillery traces its roots to 1869 and was licensed to bottle medicinal whiskey during Prohibition. However, distilling ended there in 1992 and the former distillery is now a production, barrel aging and bottling facility owned and operated by Sazerac. Both the Glenmore bourbon and the rye are bottled at 100 proof and carry a suggested retail price of $19.99 per 750ml bottle. The bourbon is now available through Sazerac’s United States distributor network and is shipping to retailers, bars and restaurants. The rye is available beginning this month. glenmorewhiskey.com
Editor’s Note: Price-wise, with these releases Sazerac seems to be introducing a bourbon and rye that are positioned to compete with their own Benchmark bourbons and the recently introduced Sazerac 100 proof rye, respectively. In the current market, I wonder what thinking led to that decision?
Garrison Brothers PX and Oloroso Finished Cask Strength Single Barrels
Garrison Brothers Distillery will release PX Finished Cask Strength Single Barrel and Oloroso Finished Cask Strength Single Barrel at a tailgate event on October 17 in Hye, Texas. Drawn from the same original production lot as the Ranch Reserve Series introduced in June, the bourbons spent four years in new American oak and another four years in first-fill PX or Oloroso sherry casks. Master Distiller Donnis Todd held back 27 barrels for these single-barrel releases: 14 PX barrels ranging from 122.0 to 135.2 proof and 13 Oloroso barrels ranging from 124.6 to 136.7 proof. Both are bottled uncut, unfiltered, and non-chill filtered, with each bottle identifying its barrel number and proof.
Approximately 3,000 bottles of each expression were produced, with 984 bottles of each available at the event and the remaining bottles allocated to select retail partners nationwide. The expressions will be sold separately for $189.99 per bottle.
Gates open at 8 a.m. at 1827 Hye-Albert Road, Hye, Texas. The family- and dog-friendly event will include screens showing the Texas Longhorns vs. Florida Gators game, with kickoff planned for approximately 11 a.m. CT, plus live music, cornhole, yard Jenga, and food and beverage specials. The Whiskey Shack and Gift Shop will be open all day. garrisonbros.com
Booker’s The Reserves 2026
Booker’s The Reserves 2026 is a limited-edition Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey finished in apple brandy barrels and infused with cinnamon. Aged 6 years, 2 months and 23 days, it is bottled at 125.1 proof with a suggested retail price of $129.99. Developed by Freddie Noe, the release is inspired by Booker’s “A.B.C. Wassail,” an apple wine recipe built around apples, bourbon barrels and cinnamon. beamdistilling.com
Little Book The Infinite Edition III
Little Book The Infinite Edition III is a limited-release Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey featuring whiskeys distilled by three generations of Noe family Master Distillers: Booker Noe, Fred Noe and Freddie Noe. Building on Edition II, Freddie Noe blended in three distinct bourbons from across the generations. Each year, a portion of the blend is bottled and new whiskeys are added for the next edition. It is bottled at 118.3 proof with a suggested price of $199.99. beamdistilling.com
Sagamore Darkness Falls Bottled in Bond Straight Rye
Sagamore Darkness Falls Bottled in Bond Straight Rye is the fourth edition in Sagamore Spirit’s limited-edition Baltimore Ravens bottle series. The 8-year-old rye was distilled in the spring of 2018, aged and bottled in Maryland, and combines two rye mash bills with triple distillation. Its black-and-red packaging celebrates the Ravens’ new matte black helmets and the “Darkness Falls” moment at M&T Bank Stadium. It is available at the Sagamore Spirit distillery and select Maryland retailers for $59. It is bottled at 100 proof. sagamorespirit.com
Editor’s Note: “Darkness Falls” refers to the Baltimore Ravens’ designated night-game promotion at M&T Bank Stadium. The event includes a stadium-wide light blackout as the team enters the field, encourages fans to wear black, and features the team wearing their all-black uniforms with matte-black helmets. In prior years, fans also were given synchronized LED wristbands, although that has not been confirmed for this year.
Milam & Greene Unabridged Volume 5
Milam & Greene Unabridged Volume 5 is a limited-edition, cask-strength, non-chill-filtered bourbon in the distillery’s Blender’s Reserve Collection. Fred Minnick joined the Milam & Greene team in selecting the whiskeys for this blend of straight bourbons from Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. The blend relies on Milam & Greene’s signature process of “Texification,” allowing the intense Texas Hill Country heat and dramatic temperature swings to drive deep interaction between the wood and the liquid. The literary-inspired series takes its name from the idea of an unedited book, with the bourbon left uncut at cask strength. The components are:
- 7% 10-year Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 10% 9.5-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 31% 8-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 11% 7.8-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 5% 7-year Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey with Malted Rye
- 2% 7-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 34% 6.5-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with Malted Rye
Bottled at 121.6 proof, Unabridged Volume 5 is available on the Milam & Greene website, at the distillery and at select retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $94.99. milamandgreenewhiskey.com
Knob Creek 12 Year Old Cask Strength
Knob Creek 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged for 12 years in charred American white oak barrels. Hand-selected from 10 distinct lots in Knob Creek’s Clermont, Kentucky rickhouses, it is bottled at 121.2 proof. It is starting to roll out now and will be available nationwide for a limited time at a suggested retail price of $89.99 for a 750mL bottle. knobcreek.com
The Maven Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
The Maven Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the debut flagship expression from The Maven Distillery. The team spent a decade building its bourbon inventory through self-distillation, custom-specified sourcing and selective barrel acquisition. Aged at least 7 years, it blends whiskeys aged their full term in toasted American oak with whiskeys first matured in traditional charred oak barrels and finished in various toasted oak casks. The blend incorporates five oak types: American, Chinkapin, Garryana, French and Mizunara. Bottled at 94 proof with a suggested retail price of $199, it is available at select Kentucky retailers beginning in September, with availability to follow in New York, California and nationwide via online retailers. themavenwhiskey.com
Editor’s Note: The Maven Distillery was built by IJW Whiskey Company. In addition, I have confirmation that the toasted barrels are also charred.
2XO Rapper’s Delight – The Hip-Hop Blend
2XO Rapper’s Delight – The Hip-Hop Blend is the seventh release in 2XO’s Collectibles Series. It is a collaboration between blender Dixon Dedman and The Sugarhill Gang. Inspired by Dedman’s love of rap music, it takes its name from the group’s 1979 single “Rapper’s Delight.” The blend consists of 90% high-rye (35% rye) bourbon double-barreled in new #3 and #4 charred oak barrels for 9–12 months, and 10% moderate-rye (18% rye) bourbon. It is bottled at 104 proof. The bourbon is scheduled to release this month with nationwide availability and online sales through ReserveBar, at a suggested retail price of $79.99 for a 750ml bottle. 2xowhiskey.com
Woodinville 10 Year Bourbon
Woodinville 10 Year Bourbon debuted at the distillery’s September 12 Harvest Release. Woodinville’s oldest whiskey to date and the final release in the series following its 8 Year and 9 Year bourbons, it is aged in heavily toasted, lightly charred new oak barrels made from staves seasoned in the open air for 24 months. Its mashbill is 55% corn, 35% rye and 10% malted barley, differing from Woodinville’s standard 72% corn, 22% rye and 6% malted barley. Bottled at 100 proof with an MSRP of $129.99, it was released online September 14, with availability at select retailers nationally to follow later this fall. Also released at the event, Woodinville 6 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon is bottled at 100 proof with an MSRP of $69.99 and is exclusive to the Woodinville, Washington distillery tasting room and the Quincy, Washington tasting room. woodinvillewhiskeyco.com
